15th Century Ballytarsna Castle Roof Restoration, Ireland

These are photos of a restoration to a 15th century Irish tower house, Ballytarsna Castle. The oak roof restoration was undertaken by Woodwrights of Dublin, Ireland, and we were pleased to be involved in the project. Since the original roof had been lost for some time, the design was based on the medieval roof of an existing tower house near Dublin, of a similar design.
