| Clinton Residence – Timber framed extension, St-Lazare, Quebec
This is a very unique project. All of the timber for this 1500 square foot extension was harvested from the clients’ own property. We hand picked all of the trees from various locations in the 150 acre woodlot, which was badly in need of thinning. As a result we have produced a frame with nine different species of timber in it including: scotch pine, red pine, tamarack, hemlock, ash, maple, cherry, with red oak splines and white oak pegs.
Once the extension is completed and the timbers are oiled, the combined colours of the different species should be breathtaking. We believe this is a truly unique structure in Canada, and showcases naturally curved timbers more than any other building we’ve worked on.

| The Clinton residence phase II
Phase 2 of the Clinton residence was raised on the week of July 26th. All the timber for this roof came from the Clinton's woodlot again, with the common rafters in red pine, and the curved braces in cherry. The roof sits on top of the original house's piece-sur-piece log walls, and will eventual become the Clinton's home office.
