Off-the-grid residential project - Kahnawake, Quebec

During the second half of July, 2006 we raised a 2000 sf timber frame with enclosure panels on the reserve at Kahnawake, Quebec. This is an off-the-grid project with all electricity coming from small solar panels, and heat from a traditional masonry-mass heater. The wall and roof were super-insulated with cellulose insulation, an ecological and highly recycled product.
