LAMBERT RESIDENCE - Saint-André-Avellin, Quebec
This custom hardwood timber frame was made from maple and ash trees from the clients 300 acre farm. Each log was pulled from the forest with a tractor, and milled into square timbers at a local sawmill. Erected in early 2009 the home is now finished and plans are under way for other buildings on the property, including a sugar shack and garage.
We really like the contemporary finishing details used by the client including custom metal handrails and spiral staircase. The timber frame is actually a large extension to an historic farm house, which was also completely renovated during the project. |
